Mercyful Fate win AWARD OF HONOURBy RenzoNovember 19th, 2006Yesterday, ( November 18th ) at the Danish Metal Awards 2006
in Copenhagen, Denmark, MERCYFUL FATE received an AWARD OF HONOUR, recognizing their huge influence on the metal scene, in particular through their early recordings.
The event took place at a sold out Amager Bio, with In Flames headlining the live stage.
The award was presented to the four original Mercyful Fate band members; Michael Denner, Hank Shermann, Kim Ruzz and Timi 'Grabber' Hansen, who here had gathered for the first time in many years. King Diamond is busy with recording of his new album, and was not able to attend.
